2026 READING CHALLENGE: HOW DID STUDENTS COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE?
Last August, the Nguyen Sieu Primary School Library launched a journey to foster and spread reading culture within the school through its first activity—the "2026 Reading Challenge" competition. Designed for students from Grades 2 to 5, the challenge featured 10 books and 5 tasks.
The exciting part of the challenge lay in what students did after closing the book covers: How would a great book be recommended? How would a memorable character be retold? How could a familiar story turn into a fresh new idea?
Drawing from what they read, the young learners drew, wrote, and created in their own unique ways. Starting from the same set of books, each submission offered a distinct perspective.
The featured creations below are the fruits of the students' dedication following days of reading and fulfilling their challenges. Through every drawing, phrase, and idea, it is clear that students did not merely memorize the content—they are gradually shaping their own ways of feeling and expressing their thoughts.
10 books, 5 challenges, and countless different answers to the question: "What were your thoughts after reading?" Let’s discover how Nguyen Sieu Primary School students transformed book pages into vibrant, imaginative creations!
