(Nguyen Sieu Student Competency and Qualities Framework) is a document that guides the development of student personality at Nguyen Sieu Primary School.

In the challenging context of globalization and integration, the education sector in general and schools in particular need to prepare their students with a solid foundation for success and happiness in the future.
 

With the vision of providing an outstanding international education program, Nguyen Sieu Primary School equips students with comprehensive qualities and capacities to become global citizens in the era of international integration.

UNESCO (2016) defines a simple way to understand “global citizenship”: Refers to people feeling part of a larger community, not bound by national borders. Global citizenship focuses on common values ​​such as human rights, democracy, non-discrimination and diversity. It is related to the actions of citizens to create a better world and future. Besides, Machin & Whitehead (2020) said that global citizenship is a multidimensional concept, expressing a way of thinking, being and acting with openness to the world and recognizing our interconnectedness.

Therefore, students need to foster and develop international thinking through reflecting on their own and social perspectives, cultures and identities, and learning to work with people from different countries. This activity is clearly demonstrated through curiosity, understanding of different cultures, respect for differences, novelty and a sense of community connection (UNESCO, 2016).

Compassion

Students are people who know how to love, help and share with people around them. Tolerance will help students respect others and be ready to accept differences. This helps students build sustainable, close relationships and approach cultural diversity in the new era.

Responsibility

NSPS students know how to behave properly, are always honest and are ready to take responsibility for all their actions. NSPS students are aware of complying with the rules and regulations of the school, complying with the laws of the state, always striving to become good citizens.

Creativity

By using creative thinking, NSPS students can come up with new ideas and innovative approaches to problem solving. From there, NSPS students become more confident and decisive.

Passion

The spirit of learning is the key to forming autonomy, self-study and self-assessment. The passion for learning, exploring and discovering new things brings the spirit of lifelong learning to each NSPS student.

Cooperation

NSPS students know how to listen and share personal opinions with the purpose of sharing and creating connections with the world around them. Without hesitating to participate in collective and social activities, NSPS students accumulate and learn many new and useful things.
